The heart of Wales, a diverse landscape of wild mountains and fertile river plains, dotted with friendly towns and secluded hamlets. It’s the outstanding natural beauty of the countryside that draws nature lovers, walkers and cyclists staying in Powys. I would recommend this holiday because the staff are very friendly, the accommodation is lovely & clean & the whole site is well looked after. On top of this, although the staff are helpful & friendly they let you get on with your holiday.

Beautiful location and spacious lodge. We had a wonderful weekend in the Mid Wales countryside, and were spoilt for choice for places to explore and local places to eat. Everyone in our party of eight enjoyed their stay in the forest. Will definitely come back.

As soon as we pulled up we thought this park was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and when we got to our log cabin, we could not believe how large and comfortable they were (and spotless)! In such a quiet environment, with birds, squirrels and rabbits as our neighbours. We were only here for 3 days but we didn't want to come home, we enjoyed it so much! The park itself was beautiful and well looked after. We were a family of ages starting at 2.5 years to 61 years and we all loved it - golf/fishing for the men and a trip into Welshpool and Newport for the women and children, or feeding the ducks, looking at the pigs, llama's and ponies, and playing on the park. We will definitely book another holiday there!

Lovely area to explore the borders between Wales and England. Montgomery, a beautiful small town - well worth a visit. Great walking from the cabins. Beautiful setting.

We enjoyed the location, the wildlife, and the peace and quiet that this site had to offer.

Reviewed by: Mrs B - Weybridge - Surre Date of stay: 2011 Campsite Rating
Great central location, excellent value for a peaceful and quiet holiday. Wood/ log chalets are spacious and adequate. They are located in a wood overlooking fields and/ or golf course and/ or small lake and river. This is perfect for families that want a self-catering holiday in a relaxing and quiet atmosphere. Supermarkets 10 minutes down the road. Ideal as a base to explore Wales. Also great for golfers and those who enjoy fishing, golf, lake and river on the doorstep. Nothing to do apart from enjoying the views, fish or play golf in the resort but this is what makes it so perfect to recharge ones batteries.

We have brought brochures home for family and friends. This holiday park is quiet and peaceful, set in lovely grounds and pitch black at night, which makes a cosy setting and a great night's sleep. There are walks close by, animals on site to visit and you have plenty of your own space to relax in. The cabins are cosy and well equipped.

This site was fantastic from first pulling up on the site. The log cabins were large and comfortable and offered spectacular views. We were there for 5 days but to be honest we settled in and didn't want to come away. We enjoyed it so much. The park itself was beautiful and well looked after. We will definitely book another holiday there.

A peaceful and relaxing location - the log cabins were so different than your normal caravan holiday - much more space and not overlooked. Glad we could take our 2 dogs too.

A peaceful little haven which has enhanced the already attractive canal side and discreetly embedded its cabin accommodation into the wooded hillside above giving stunning views all around. We loved Powys in the Springtime !
