Loch Awe 3 Lodges: These two outstanding properties are in a beautiful secluded loch-side setting. The grounds, which include a private stretch of shoreline, extend to 3/4 of an acre although it is hard to tell where the grounds end and the forest begins. There are wonderful panoramic views across Loch Awe to several islands on one of which stands Innis Chonnell Castle. The area is an ideal walking centre. Loch Awe, Loch Avich and nearby rivers provide good fishing. Boat hire is available locally or there are private launching facilities if guests wish to bring their own boat. Within 9 miles there are pub/restaurants and a choice of highly acclaimed hotels. Local shop and Post Office in Dalavich (1 mile). Good shopping, restaurants and recreational facilities in Oban and Lochgilphead. With Oban offering ferry connections to many of Scotlands West Coast Islands.A cosy timber lodge finished to a high standard. Well-insulated and heated, the lodge is comfortably furnished and well-equipped. 1 double and 1 small twin bedroom, open plan lounge/dining/kitchen with French doors opening on to deck overlooking the Loch, shower room. This lovely loch is just under one mile's gentle walk up through the forest in the hills above Cologin and the views are quite spectacular. The walk to the loch is part of a waymarked Forestry Commission trail through our hills and the gentle incline means that it is suitable for all ages and abilities

Nolands - Strachur
Nolands Lodges: Nolands is a lovely cedar clad cottage located in the small village of Strachur, which lies on the east shore of Loch Fyne. The cottage is situated at the end of a quiet lane, set back from the shoreline with a beautiful view of the sea. Nolands has been lovingly renovated and tastefully decorated throughout. The cottage is all on one level with ramped access to the front door. From the master bedroom you can wake up and see the sea. The lounge has a leather suite, wood burning stove and a small balcony outside. From the lounge you are led into the sun room where you can dine or just relax. The sofa bed can sleep a further 2 people and this area can be curtained off from the lounge to make a private space. Leading off from the sun room you can access a decked area which has a chiminea, BBQ and outdoor seating. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need for your holiday. The local village shop is only a 5 minute walk along the lochside and where there is also a small cafe. Strachur is a great location to explore the surrounding area, there are sea lochs to explore, mountains to climb, with an abundance of wildlife and history to delve into. The Argyll Forest is on your doorstep, which is part of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and there are numerous forest tracks, marked walks, cycle ways and wonderful waterfalls to find within this area. Loch Fyne is famous for its sea food and there are many good eateries within easy driving distance where you can sample this local produce. Strachur House is part of the Scotland Gardens Scheme and is open to the public at certain times of the year. Ian Flemings character James Bond was said to be inspired by a man who once lived in this area, Sir Fitzroy MacLean, who in 1962 developed the Creggans Inn located in the village of Strachur. You could explore slightly further afield to Dunoon which has a good centre for shopping, leisure facilities, cinema and the Benmore Botanic Gardens is a must see with its avenue of Giant Redwoods and wonderful plants. The Isle of Bute is only a short drive and ferry crossing away and you could visit the fabulous Victorian Gothic Mount Stuart House. Inverary is also a great day out with the Castle, the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll or a visit to 19th century Inverary Jail which is great fun for the whole family. Strachur is a fantastic peaceful location to relax in or for the more adventurous, explore and find hidden treasures
