Zagarella is a lively parc with loads going on, a superb pool complex and a great beach nearby.

Just a mile away from the lovely resort of Longeville lies Zagarella, a new parc for Eurocamp, set in a great location with a wide range of activities on offer.

In addition to the new play area for younger visitors, there is an excellent gym on parc for adults, not to mention a sauna, shop, bar, take-away and restaurant; in addition to all of the sporting activities you can enjoy here.

If you prefer to stray away from the pool, there is an excellent sandy beach within walking distance, and many lively resorts within a short drive. Zagarella’s large bar is also enjoyable and lively in the evening, but please note that it can be heard from some pitches.

Take the D21 from La Mothe-Achard (turning left onto the D21 as you reach the edge of town.

You will go over a level crossing and then you will come to a roundabout that you will go straight across.

You then pass through the villages of La Chapelle-Achard and Grosbreuil.

In Grosbreuil, just after you enter the village you come to a T-junction at which you turn right.

As you leave the village, after approximately 2/3 mile there is a left-hand turning which you take in the direction of Talmont/St. Hilaire’.

As you enter Talmont, you go down a hill with the old Chateau on your right.

At the traffic lights turn left onto the main town thoroughfare in the direction of Luçon/La Tranche’.

As you come to the top of the town, there is a right hand turning to Jard-sur-Mer/La Tranche.

Take this turning and following the D21 you will go past a small industrial estate on your right hand side.

Follow signs for Jard-sur-Mer, passing through the outskirts of the village, and then through St-Vincent-sur-Jard and on to Longeville.

In Longeville follow the one way system and turn right at the T-junction following the direction of La Tranche on the D105.

Go straight over at the first small roundabout then follow this road to La Tranche-sur-Mer until you reach a roundabout (the campsite is sign-posted from here).

Go straight over the roundabout and camping Zagarella is about 300yds down this road on the left-hand side.

A reconstruction of an 18th century village with villagers in costume. The ruins of a 13th century chateau where you can watch a fabulous falconry display or see the Vikings at war. You can spend hours wandering the grounds and gardens. The evening show is an incredible open-air night show with 850 people and 50 horsemen

Château de Talmont St Hilaire
Located on a rock, surrounded by water, the fortress of Talmont played an important part in the defence of Poitou against the invading Normans. Years later, several kings of France were made welcome along with Richard the Lion Heart during the crusade years. Nowadays you can attend medieval demonstrations during the festival period
