This was an excellent campsite in a quiet location but still only 2 minute walk to the village that had shops, food establishments and 3 local pubs (some children welcome) 10 minute drive to York and easy access to main roads for travelling.

An excellent site, mainly owner populated with just a few rental caravans. Very quiet, clean and in excellent condition. I would recommend this site for people needing a base, as there was no entertainment on the site.

Overall the holiday was very good. The dog friendly accommodation was excellent - so often the dog friendly ones are a little battered and worn but this one was perfect - for once we had a happy family and a happy dog! The site was very peaceful and its location so close to York was great. The staff at the site were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help.

We found the Park very well situated. Short walk to selection of stores, grocery, butcher, chemist, also a choice of take away foods, Fish and chips, Chinese and fast food outlet. Health Centre and Dentist in village. Everything you may require. Bank with ATM. It is also on the bus route into York and other places. The park itself was very quiet apart from the sound of the weir, I found it very relaxing. We were visited by ducks every day which made us laugh. We enjoyed a lovely relaxing holiday, park management very helpful and friendly.
