| Rowanbank Caravan site is well looked after and is ideal for anyone looking for a quiet and restful break. The beach is just over the road and ideal for dog walking or just simply strolling along. The town of Silloth is very nice and is just a short drive away (about 8 minutes) there's always plenty of parking space and there's a nice promenade to walk along. There's a selection of shops and two supermarkets in the town. Also fish and chip shops, cafes, pubs which serve food, etc. Silloth has a very nice 'old world' atmosphere. We like staying there. |

| It is quiet, relaxing, and peaceful at Rowan Bank. The beach is on your doorstep. Watching the sunset every night on the beach. What more could you ask for. We have chosen Rowan Bank for the past 4 years. |

| We found Rowanbank Caravan Park a delight, it was spotlessly clean and tidy, peaceful and relaxing. This was our first visit to the Solway Firth and we were pleasantly surprised at to what was there to see. We watched the birds on the shore, curlews, oystercatchers and of course, the goldeneye. We were also able to see a multitude of stars which are almost invisible in the city. The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking! The local town of Silloth was like going back in time, peaceful and unhurried, and very friendly. We were close enough to visit Scotland and the Lakes, but were delighted with Whitehaven, so much so that we went twice!
Trevor and Karen were the perfect hosts, knew the district well and advised us on where to dine out (Lowther Arms) and places to visit. They also take their responsibilities very seriously and will not tolerate rowdy behaviour from guests but deal with any problems in a tactful way. A very enjoyable week and we would certainly visit again. Thanks to all for making our holiday almost perfect! |

| The peace and tranquility of this lovely park was a fabulous start to our holiday. Colin and Linda gave a warm and friendly welcome, and were a goldmine of information on the local area, where to find things and recommended things to do and see. The caravan was very well presented and equipped with everything you could need for your stay. We hope to see you again next year! |

| A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at this park. Upon arriving we were made welcome by the site manager and his wife - the park was very clean and immaculately presented, and the caravan we stayed in was perfect, a real home from home and spotlessly clean. Colin and Lynda have a wealth of local information, the location is spectacular with views to the front across the Solway Firth to Scotland, and views to the rear of the mountainous Lake District. We returned home totally relaxed and stress free, and we would highly recommend this quiet park to all our friends for a get away from it all break. We look forward to a return visit in the not too distant future!

The beach is within 100 metres and a walk along the beach watching the glorious Solway Bay sunset is the perfect way to end the day. |

| Beckside is a beautiful and peaceful area of the Lake District, but only 30 mins drive away from Lake Buttermere etc. The site is welcoming and clean, ideal for those who just want to get away from it all. I took two children and they loved it (a little worn out from all the the lovely walks we did) A must for anyone who wants a good base for walking in the Northern parts of the Lakes. |

| We wanted a quiet campsite, near the beach so that we could take our dog for long walks, and we weren't disappointed. Rowanbank is a very well maintained campsite just over the road from the beautiful beach. The caravan was very clean and had everything we could have wanted and more. More for the older couples just wanting peace and quiet, walking and fresh air, the location is ideal as there is plenty of beach over the road or there is Silloth just 3 miles down the road with its long promenade and grassy park area. We stayed during Whit week, the weather was glorious and we had a great time relaxing and walking our dog. We would definitely go back to Rowanbank. |

| I would definitely recommend Rowanbank to anyone wanting a quiet and peaceful holiday. The site is immaculate and the accommodation very clean and comfortable. For our family it was maybe a little too out of the way but that is just our opinion and in no way a criticism of the site. |
