    Local Area

A famously mild climate, gorgeous beaches, picturesque villages and top attractions – enjoy them all when you stay in Cornwall.

It’s all about the sea in the far South West.Ranging from the wide sweep of Whitsand Bay to tiny hidden coves reached by winding tracks, the beaches of South Cornwall are as perfect for lazy summer days as for invigorating winter walking. And there’s a great range of water sports on offer too.

Venture inland and you’ll find an array of enticing attractions in Cornwall. The Eden Project, where giant transparent domes recreate different climate conditions, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan promise fascinating days out, and there’s plenty of thrills at Flambards and Dobwalls theme parks.

Sea angling trips and boat rides from charming fishing villages like St Mawes, Mevagissey, Looe and Polperro attract many visitors staying in Cornwall, and Fowey is a firm favourite with the sailing community. The cathedral city of Truro and historic Penzance are both well worth a visit.

This is a great location, really close to so many attractions e.g. St Michaels Mount, Marazion beach (with cheap or free parking) Penzance (?1.90 all day parking) and Lands End - ?4 all day parking and entry, and what about the Lizard? Convenient to both north and south coasts, we would want to visit again.

This park provided quiet and private accommodation ideally placed for visiting several attractions in the south west of Cornwall, i.e. Minack Theatre, St Ives, Pendennis Castle. The walk beside the stream was very peaceful and had considerably interesting wildlife.

Lovely quiet location and the wooden lodge was really nicely furnished and well equipped. Quite a way from shops (and the shop on site is quite basic) Best beaches nearby were at Praa Sands and Marazion (good parking and cafes/facilities) Lots of good places to visit in the area in the rain or sun. Note for people arriving on Saturdays - fish and chip van visits at 6.00 - so if you have no provisions a good fall back option!!

For peace and quiet this was an ideal holiday, it was the first time we had been away as a family with our nine month old baby. The location was great for site seeing. Not much activity on the park but this is what we wanted. Would consider going back this year.

Lovely peaceful park with level walks along the river.

Reviewed by: Mr C - Market Rasen Date of stay: 2010 Campsite Rating
The site was very quiet and being next to a river was also in a beautiful setting. Lots of rabbits thought so too; our best count was 35 as we drove off early one day and they also kept the grass short!
