Local Area
Fun-filled, high-energy active break or relaxing in tranquil surroundings, you’ll find the perfect combination in Somerset. Miles of unspoilt coastline, beautiful countryside and city pleasures too – Somerset offers something for everyone.
Weston-Super-Mare, Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea boast family friendly, sandy beaches, traditional seaside amusements and great water sports, and for a more dramatic coastal experience, there’s Exmoor National Park.
This is Lorna Doone country, a stunning backdrop for horse riding, walking and canoeing. The Quantock Hills and Somerset Levels (both areas of outstanding natural beauty) are great for cycling and there’s abseiling and caving at Cheddar Gorge – the less active might prefer a guided tour of Wookey Hole.

We have just returned home from a lovely holiday at Purn Holiday Park - what a lovely, quiet park, and spotlessly clean. The staff always greeted us with a smile and a chat, and the food in the restaurant was very well presented and piping hot, it was also reasonably priced. Our caravan was the best one we have ever stayed in! Well done management of Purn, we will definitely be back!

I think the site is perfect for older people who would like a lovely quiet holiday in good quality accommodation. It is close to the beach and there is an excellent pub opposite.

This park is very friendly. The Clubhouse was outstanding. The beaches were very close. An ideal site to visit the attractions of North Somerset. The staff were very friendly and they made us feel home from home. The food was really excellent and good value for money. A very quiet park although it was out of the main season so I could not comment any further.
