Quietly situated just a few kilometres inland, the parc is close to the small medieval village of Castagneto Carducci, a great place for an evening stroll whilst sampling a famous Castagneto ice cream!

This parc is ideally placed for you to enjoy some of the region’s other delights including the Etruscan wine trail and the famous cities of Siena, Pisa and Florence.

From Livorno/Pisa:
Continue on the A12 travelling towards Rome.

At Rossignano Marittimo, the motorway ends.

From here take the SS1 signposted 'Grosseto', 'Roma' and 'Cecina'.

Take exit for 'Donoratico/Castagneto Carducci'.

Turn right at roundabout and over bridge, turn left, then right and follow road towards 'Castagneto Carducci'.

Turn left for 'Bolgheri'.

Campsite is signposted down a narrow lane 1 km along on righthand side.

Cavallino Matto
A large theme park with attractions to suit the entire family. A good selection of rollercoasters and activities for teenagers plus more gentle rides for younger children.


Pistoia Zoo
A few kilometres away from the centre of Pistoia, immersed in the hillside is this 75,000 square metre zoo. One of the most interesting zoological gardens in Italy both because of its position and the number of species gathered. Over 600 animals from around the globe including flamingos, llamas, camels, tigers, elephants, hippos and bears. There is also an area where children can touch the animals such as goats and rabbits.


Parco di Pinocchio
The park of Pinocchio could not have been set anywhere other than in Collodi. The author adopted this village for his surname after spending most of his childhood here. Established over a span of 30 years, the park is far from being a traditional theme park, rather it is a creation of fantasy endowed with unique charm. Stroll along the paths and experience a living story amid unspoilt pearls of nature blended with beautiful art.
