A charming woodland parc close to the Chateau de Chambord, arguably the most magnificent of all Loire chateaux.

Set in the spacious grounds of an old stone manor house, the peaceful wooded surroundings make Le Chateau des Marais an ideal parc for families with young children. The parc retains the atmosphere of an exclusive country estate and features a great waterpark with waterslides, a lazy river and a spacious sun terrace.

The restaurant, take-away and shop have all been built of local oak to blend in with the surroundings. Some noise may be heard from the nearby road. The parc is a five minute walk from the village of Muides-sur-Loire. A small indoor spa, sauna, hammam and jacuzzi has now been built on the parc, however, there is a small charge.

Local Area

Six miles away is the Chateau de Chambord, one of the most extravagant of the Royal palaces along the Loire. The forests and parks are perfect for walks, cycling and picnics.

The beautiful Chateau de Chenonceau is probably the most famous and romantic of all the chateaux, only one hour’s drive away. You should also visit the medieval city of Tours with its fine Gothic cathedral.

Zoo de Beauval
Situated in the heart of the Loire valley, this is one of the best zoos in France. A great selection of animals to view, but the main attraction is the white tigers. Regular exhibitions feature birds of prey and feeding the animals


Chateau de Chambord
The Chateau of Chambord is one of the loveliest Renaissance buildings in the Loire. It was completed in 1547 and there is evidence to suggest that Leonardo di Vinci assisted in its design. Surrounded by walls of 22 miles, the chateau has 440 rooms and stables to accommodate 1200 horses. The park is over 5000 hectares in size


Chateau de Chenonceau
Built in 1513 on the river Cher, it is one of the finest châteaux in the Loire with outstanding architecture. The chateau is home to fine collections of Renaissance furniture, 16th, 17th centuries tapestries and a great number of masterpieces. 70 Hectares of parks and gardens for walks

Parc Floral de la Source
The park's most famous attraction is the vast expanse of flower beds. The park also has emus, peacocks and flamingos as well as deer in the woodland areas. A small train runs 20 minute trips around the park. There is a large restaurant, a playground and minigolf

Our Grand 34 3B is unique. The lounge, kitchen and dining area have been designed as one space and the large master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. Tree Houses

Each tree house has been cleverly constructed around the trunk of the tree and is around 4-5 metres from the ground. Access is via a spiral staircase and they come equipped with 4 single beds and one double bed under a thatched, pitched roof. A large decked terrace with table and chairs means you can relax and watch the world go by from your lofty position.

In addition, we also provide you with a Frontier Tent beneath the treehouse for the duration, so if you wish you can always come back down to earth. Each Frontier Tent is fully equipped with self catering equipment as well as enough room to sleep 6 should you all want a night on terra firma! (Please note - the tents are pitched on the nearest pitches to the Treehouse Villages. This can sometimes be up to 750m away.)
All our Tree Houses feature: Double bed (with foam mattress), 4 single beds (with foam mattress), blankets and pillows, 2 dry toilets.

All our Frontier Tents feature: Barbecue (where permitted), Fridge with freezer compartment,4 burner hob with grill, Electric socket/safety cut-out.
