    Local Area

A famously mild climate, gorgeous beaches, picturesque villages and top attractions – enjoy them all when you stay in Cornwall.

It’s all about the sea in the far South West.Ranging from the wide sweep of Whitsand Bay to tiny hidden coves reached by winding tracks, the beaches of South Cornwall are as perfect for lazy summer days as for invigorating winter walking. And there’s a great range of water sports on offer too.

Venture inland and you’ll find an array of enticing attractions in Cornwall. The Eden Project, where giant transparent domes recreate different climate conditions, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan promise fascinating days out, and there’s plenty of thrills at Flambards and Dobwalls theme parks.

Sea angling trips and boat rides from charming fishing villages like St Mawes, Mevagissey, Looe and Polperro attract many visitors staying in Cornwall, and Fowey is a firm favourite with the sailing community. The cathedral city of Truro and historic Penzance are both well worth a visit.

We had a fantastic time! The girls, both 15, took advantage of the surf school lessons (many thanks to James & Jay for all there help), the girls loved it!! 10 minutes stroll down a traffic free lane is a very nice beach where we perfected the art of surfing, and a great pub, The Pirans Inn, (I recommend food & a pint or 2 of Doombar). Through a footpath from the site is another great pub, The Teguth Inn (Wednesday night quiz, book a table for evening meal to guarantee a seat as it gets very busy). All the staff on site and in the club made for a very safe and pleasant stay for us all - many thanks to Mick, Rich, Dan, Rachel, Dean & doorman James. Would we go back? YES!!!

The holiday was lovely, the site is in a beautiful location, close to the beach and local pubs. The accommodation could not be faulted, the caravan was equipped to a very high standard. The kids loved the 300ft long water slide and the pool was a lovely temperature even when the weather was not that warm.

Had a brilliant holiday staying at Holywell Bay. The park is quite small compared to ones we have stayed at previously which certainly suited us more (with a 3yr old and 8mth old) There is a lovely bar with a small children's play area to the front and a larger one a minut'es walk away. The beach was lovely and only a 10 minute stroll away. There are many things to do within a short car journey away should you wish...Newquay town, Holywell Fun Park and Springfield Fun Park are among the places that we ventured to. We stayed in one of the new Porthtowan caravans which was very nice, clean and well equipped. I would certainly recommend this holiday park and will hopefully be able to return next year!

The Easter egg hunt was very much appreciated and together with children we also enjoyed it. Kids play area was very good and kept the children fully occupied.
