A superb selection of 4 star self catering holiday lodges situated in a stunning highland landscape just outside the village of Crianlarich in Perthshire. No matter what sort of holiday you have in mind, we are sure that Portnellan Highland Lodges offers you the peace, comfort, convenience, luxury and entertainment you are looking for. The beautifully presented lodges are fully equipped with everything you may need for a stress free holiday with family or friends. Each lodge has its own special features and some look out over private gardens across Loch Dochart to the castle. All lodges have adjacent private parking, wide open grassy areas and either a terrace or balcony with garden furniture and gas BBQ. Inside the lodges is no exception with tastefully furnished and extreme comfort paramount. The 'Centre of Everywhere but the Middle of Nowhere' is the best way to describe Portnellan's location. The breath taking countryside steeped in Scottish History and Heritage but with accessibility to other outdoor activities, visitor attractions, castles, museums, galleries, distilleries, restaurants, pubs and much much more. Loch Luibhair and Loch Dochart are a short walk away and an adjoining river offers 5 miles of game fishing. The ruins of Eilean Dochart castle ruin are situated on a wee island in Loch Dochart. All can be explored, and the estate offers free use of kayaks and rowing boats. Canadian canoes are also available and you can borrow bicycles. The towns of Oban, Fort William, Perth, Pitlochry and Stirling are all approximately 1 hours drive whilst Edinburgh and Glasgow are approximately 1.5 hours. On the estate there is a visitors centre offering you free use of over 200 videos and DVDs, local maps and information, walks in the area, board games and magazines. Most lodges have Wi-Fi but for those that don't there is a Wi-Fi hotspot.
