    Local Area

Seaside resorts, brilliant sport and leisure facilities and a host of top attractions – enjoy them all when you stay in Kent.

Action-packed fun or relaxing short break holiday, Kent offers something for everyone. All along the coast, you can choose any number of water sports or simply splash about on the gorgeous beaches.

Kent’s popular pleasure playgrounds of Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate still offer traditional family entertainment, and there’s a long line of coastal castles to explore – Dover Castle is particularly impressive – as well as plenty of attractions for all ages. Take a seal-watching boat ride from Ramsgate or a journey on the world’s smallest steam railway.

Kent’s famously lovely, ‘Garden of England’ countryside is the backdrop to orchards, vineyards and hop gardens as well as picturesque villages, stately homes and gardens, and fascinating towns and cities – historic Canterbury is well worth a visit.

And don’t forget, a day trip to France couldn’t be easier – Eurostar from Ashford or ferries from Dover, Folkestone and Ramsgate.

Very quiet and peaceful park, require a vehicle but found it central to the places we wanted to visit and an excellent train service to London.

Lovely peaceful holiday on a quiet site. There are lots of things to do locally. Lodge was clean and comfortable.

As a family we really enjoyed the lodge. A really quiet place to stay, clean and cosy. A good location to discover Kent and Sussex - we went to Winchelsea beach which was lovely, but no one warned us it was mud under the sand, so a pair of wellies would have been useful. We also spent another day at Camber Sands - a fabulous beach, all sand, it was like being in the South of France. Rye was a great place for antiques and we had some delicious food at a restaurant called Simply Italain. Great Dixter House, Rye, was amazing, a truly romantic 15thC house and gorgeous gardens - a real step back in time.

It was a lovely peaceful weekend away - and excellent value for money. A great base to explore the Kent countryside and coastline.

We had a great holiday at the Eversleigh Lodges. There is so much to see in the neigbourhood. The lodges are very nice. The park is very quiet, which we really appreciated. Our one-year old boy had fun in the swimming pool and on the swings!

Excellent value for money with 6 cabins in a woodland setting, all very quiet and exclusive. The heated indoor pool was lovely - we used it everyday. Excellent location for the South East Coast, East Sussex and Kent but within easy reach of London as well.

It was a lovely, peaceful location near to the good facilities of Ashford, but also within easy reach of the beautiful Romney Marsh. As suggested, a car was pretty essential, although bikes would also be a useful alternative.
