Stay in Shropshire and within this county’s extraordinarily beautiful landscape you’ll find more award-winning attractions and outdoor pursuits than you’d ever imagine possible.
If Shropshire’s 32 castles don’t satisfy your thirst for history, step back in time at the Ironbridge Gorge where you can explore the birth of the Industrial Revolution in no fewer than ten museums, and life at the turn of the twentieth century is fascinatingly recreated at Blists Hill Open Air Museum.

Shropshire’s unique topography is the perfect backdrop for walking, cycling, horse riding, hang gliding, fishing, golf and even hot air ballooning. And spectacular views are a feature of walks along the dramatic Long Mynd ridge and Offa’s Dyke.

Almost completely surrounded by the River Severn, the ancient town of Shrewsbury is known for its beautifully preserved timber-framed buildings and the elegance of its Georgian architecture while historic Ludlow is famous as the county’s gastronomic capital, boasting two Michelin starred restaurants and some very fine food shops. Its castle is also impressive, as is nearby Stokesay Castle.

The lodge we stayed in was beautiful, high standard, staff friendly, site clean and very pleasant surroundings. Our lodge looked onto a pond, short drive to a town and Shropshire Way cut through the site, lovely relaxing time.

Because it was such a beautiful site, very peaceful and well kept. Log cabin was beyond our expectations, very comfortable and the view over the lake was so calming there was no need to put on the television with a view like that. We cannot wait to be able to go back and enjoy it all over again. Don't think the brochure did it justice.

Our holiday was everything we were hoping for:- total relaxation with luxurious accommodation in quiet and peaceful surroundings. We would definitely recommend using a hot tub - a fantastic way to eliminate the stresses of every day life. We would definitely book another similar holiday in the future - maybe next year.

Will recommend this site. It is close to Tesco 24hr and a Morrisons Supermarket and there is a large market in Tesco car park on Sunday mornings. A number of takeaways and small shops and petrol stations a short car journey.A short walk into village for papers and stores, also parka and ride from Tesco car park into Shrewsbury at ?1.40 return journey, nothing to pay if you have your bus pass. About 8 minutes by park and ride bus to the centre of Shrewsbury. Lots of fabulous individual shops and eating places, try the Oriental Banquet in Castle Street and lots of other places to eat. The site is quiet, very clean and well looked after and the caravan was spotless, very modern. We had a very nice holiday at this site and would recommend it without hesitation. Hazel and Les Slater.
